On the edge of the Cotswolds at a few minutes to one. Seemed to last ten or fifteen seconds - enough to say to Susan 'it's an earthquake' while it was going on. We had one about six or seven years back but this was bigger. As if a giant had hold of the house and was gently shaking it to and fro. A few existing cracks in the ceilings of the shaky old part of our house seem larger and some clothes fell of a shelf in my daughters bedroom.

I thought for a couple of seconds that something like a small plane had crashed nearby.
Never noticed a thing here in South East London. Which just goes to show that even earthquakes are unwilling to go south of the river.
