I was in a pub today and the person I was drinking with pointed out someone at another table who is apparently member of Showaddywaddy. It's all glamour with me.

    I was once in the Lemon Tree at Charing Cross, ten feet away from Billy Bragg, who was holding forth to an audience of admirers.

    And I managed to restrain myself from going over and lamping that, er, unprepossessing individual. Shows what a civilized chap I am, really.
