Headline News!

Do defecting local councillors usually make headline national news? I don't recall hearing anything like this in the las 13 years, I wonder what has changed.

  1. It's only BBC national news if a Tory defects to Labour. I guess.

  2. The news desk at the BBC is certainly doing its bit to prompt a Government review of the ludicrous licence fee. If it goes, or is reduced significantly, this could be one of many 'final straws' or 'nails in the coffin'. Either that, or the cunts think they are impregnable- as, in a way sadly, the unions used to think !

  4. Mark- I think the BBC are probably right to feel impregnable, the coalition won't tackle them now, and as the government gets older it will be ina weaker position to do anything.

Matthew- The Telegraph are following the BBC's lead though are they not?

  6. I don't see any reference to the BBC in the Telegraph article. Also the Telegraph despises the BBC. So I think that's a conspiracy theory too far really.
