At the risk of stating the obvious it's worth pointing out just how historically accurate and apposite this is. Blessed Che thought the USSR had gone soft under Khrushchev and looked instead to Mao's China as a sponsor of world revolution. Mao had of course split from Khrushchev over the latter's disowning of Stalin, and was inspired by Stalin's example to murder even more millions of people than he did.
I know you know all this, but I'm not sure how much of it is covered by the GCSE History syllabus.
