If Ian Huntley was appointed to run Cambridgeshire's education system there would quite obviously be outrage. Not appointing child murderers to run schools is generally considered a good thing, except when it comes to Northern Ireland, where for many years Martin McGuinness's blood drenched hands controlled their schools. It seems that the civilised people of Northern Ireland are expected by London and Dublin, to treat as equals the unreformed savages of the armed republican movement, this pressure is even greater now that Peter Hain, who was formally a member of the IRA front organisation
Troops Out, is Northern Ireland Secretary. So it is with some relief that I read that
the DUP have refused to play along with the latest games of Sinn Fein. They should hold firm, there must be no terrorists in government.
