We could also ask why he's allowed back in. Can't see him raising it.
Didn't Lord Archer say much the same after his imprisonment for perjury?
In this report readers are informed that he told BBC News that " . . . it is difficult enough to take the House of Lords seriously without having people who have served substantial prison terms going back in and participating in their debates."
Seeing as there's so many new crimes, how about "taking the piss"?
