Well the above is true if you believe the blogospheric left who believe that Soviet losses in
World war II debunk the claim by Fred Thompson that “shed more blood for other people’s liberty than any other combination of nations in the history of the world”. This doesn't mean that Fred Thompson's claim is accurate but the sheer ignorance of major newspapers and self styled intellectuals who could praise such an incompetent refutation is breathtaking.
