The Future Of Medicine.

Martin Jacques looks forward to what the rise of China will mean for the world:
Chinese traditional medicine, based on principles very different from Western, will become widespread across the globe.
Oh I hope not.

It has long struck me as a curious coincidence that traditional Chinese medicine is regarded as "valuable and holistic corrective to the dehumanising reductionism of the western medical system" upto the exact moment when it requests a few few gonads from endangered species, at which point it gets dismissed as mystical mumbo jumbo once more.
