Apparently sending weapons to the Libyan rebels is a bad thing.
Whereas bombing the Libyan regime is fine.
Wouldn't we save a lot of time and money if we simply armed the faction that we want to win a conflict rather than actually getting involved ourselves?
Plus it is what Gadaffi did to use when he supplied the IRA with semtex.

Agreed. Let's just treat eastern Libya as an independent country which has oil (which we want) and swap it for things that go bang (which they want) without further involvement. It's the free market solution.
I thought that the whole of Lybia was an independent country in which THEY had decided to stir up trouble and bomb the shite out of the people that do like Gaddafi on behalf of the people that don't like Gaddafi.
It would seem that, as in Iraq and Afghanistan, the locals aren't really pleased to see devastaion raining down on them from a comfortable and cowardly 30,000 feet.
We should continue bombing Gaddafi's forces, but we should also provide the Transitional National Council with weapons that are better than those that are being used by Gaddafi's forces.
