Interesting Defence

Wouldn't it be less embarrassing just to admit the doping offence, even in the unlikely even that he is telling the truth?:
AMERICAN 400m Olympic champion LaShawn Merritt received a 21-month ban for an anabolic steroid which his lawyer claimed was contained in an over-the-counter penis enlargement product.
It's like trying to get yourself off a speeding fine by arguing that you were having sex with a sheep at the time.

Painful Cuts.

Ouch:
A man who gave himself a DIY circumcision using nail clippers was taken to hospital for emergency treatment.
This is why I'm not a fan of DIY.
"This is something we would advise men never to attempt,"
Where would we be without medical advice?

Turner Prize Already Settled For 2009.

This is very good:

Rory McInnes, 18, climbed on to the flat roof of his parents' home and daubed the symbol using a tin of white paint, after watching a programme about Google Earth.

Web surfers can view detailed images from satellites using the Google software, enabling them to zoom in on their homes to see them from above.

You've got to admire his initiative.

The Real Reason England Lost.

Croatia rose to the occasion in their crucial Euro 2008 defeat of England - after an apparent X-rated gaffe by an English opera singer at Wembley.

Tony Henry belted out a version of the Croat anthem before the 80,000 crowd, but made a blunder at the end.

He should have sung 'Mila kuda si planina' (which roughly means 'You know my dear how we love your mountains').

But he instead sang 'Mila kura si planina' which can be interpreted as 'My dear, my penis is a mountain'.

Now Henry could be one of the few Englishmen at the Euro 2008 finals in Austria and Switzerland as Croatian fans adopt him as a lucky omen.

They believe his mistake relaxed their chuckling players, who scored an early goal in the 3-2 win that put Croatia top of the group and knocked out England.

Whether it was an honest mistake or whether he was just bragging hasn't been confirmed.

Phallocentric Capitalism & Pharonic Circumcision

Last month I mentioned my 'hobby' of discovering the most pointless academic research that can be found via 'google scholar'. Quite by accident today I came across this paper which is unlikely to ever be surpassed-
'Pharonic Circumcision Under Patriarchy and Breast Augmentation Under Phallocentric Capitalism: Similarities and Differences'.
