The exceedingly silly Howard League have excelled themselves with
Frances Crook's idea that we should release nearly all women prisoners.
Peter Briffa writes about the flaws in her case in today's Times,
Laban Tall takes up the good fight in Crook's comment section at CiF and
A Tangled Web also has an entry about it. Whilst all their arguments are very good I feel that they are missing one crucial point,
no women prisoners means no more movies set in womens prisons! I hardly need to state the importance of the jailhouse shower scene to motion picture history and Frances Crook is willing to throw all this away.
