The ongoing Iris Robinson train wreck in Northern Ireland looks as if it will make her husband's position as First Minister untenable. The fact that she had an affair with someone 40 years her junior and then proceeded to give him financial favours looks corrupt and the fact that her husband helped her to conceal it after the fact is bad (though understandable). It also makes the 19 year old look like a gigalo.
In 2007 Peter Robinson's predecessor as DUP leader and First Minister, Ian Paisley, resigned after months of controversey about his son's involvement in property deals. To lose two leaders over the sleazy behaviour of their families ought to persuade the DUP to stop acting like a family business run by two clans and to actually become a normal political party.
Nope - it was ridicule

It's worthy of note that the young man in question is a Catholic and hence not someone of whom Mr Robinson's supporters would approve. Anyone want to bet he'll still have his kneecaps next week?
It's like Romeo and Juliet but with the Capulets and Montagues replaced by Protestents and Catholics.
AndrewWS- The Telegraph story claiming the boy Kirk was a Catholic was incorrect- more evidence if it was needed of the decline in editorial standards there.
Given that the toyboy's name was Kirk (and his dad is 'Billy') it never seemed likely to me that he was left footed.
