Whilst I would prefer a Conservative victory in the next election I really hope that no voters are going to be swayed to vote Tory on the grounds that Samantha Cameron is pregnant. Are the public really that shallow? Yes, probably.
Can the Browns respond? If Sarah Brown isn't already pregnant it will be difficult for her to be sufficiently visibly pregnant by May 6th to counteract Samantha Cameron, so perhaps Gordon should divorce her and marry someone who can get pregnant on demand and has the gestation period of a hamster- yes he should wed Kerry Katona.

I'd think he'd want to avoid the inevitable Iceland quips, though...
If she's pregnant, and she usually is, then no one will care about Iceland.
Not sure Kerry Katona would be good on the campaign trail, though, as she'd be more interested in obtaining various illegal substances than shaking hands with voters (unless the voter is a dealer, I suppose, at which point it all gets very complicated...).
Surely the great political question is who will be in charge when he takes paternity leave (and he will) - Osborne or Hague? Or someone else...
Matthew- did Blair take paternity leave? If Cameron does take it I suppose it would be Hague because otherwise it would be perceived as a snub.
Blair sort of did, and Cameron did (as opposition leader obviously).
