Being banned from Comment Is Futile is a badge of honour. They banned me for criticising Brendan O'Neill. Well, I suppose he finds criticism hard to take given that he doesn't even allow comments on his own site.
I went back for a bit under a new name, but then I stopped bothering.
Apart from the fact that it's pointless, I can never keep track of such a fast-flowing thread. I find it impossible to have proper conversations when everyone is talking at once.
ConservativeHome has the best comment thread that I've seen on the whole internet, Letters From A Tory second.
I was kicked off GUT about 6 years ago for reasons which were explained in the usual oracular fashion, ie (to paraphrase only slightly)
"Here are (at least) two of our rules. You were banned for breaching one of these. It is left as an exercise for you to identify which one."
I always wonder why bannees from CiF and GUT bother to repeatedly re-register. The moderators seem to delete and ban on a whim, though I suspect the underlying motive is usually that the argument isn't going the way they'd like.

I haven't been banned this time, it was just my comment that was deleted. I've been banned before though.
Brendan O'Neill is one of the ex Living Marxism crew isn't he, who all now pose as professional contrarians, even if they are wearisomely predictable.
Your comment was marked 'bullshit troll bait'. Stop complaining.

I wasn't complaining, I was exulting in the fact I'd riled the Pilger/Chomsky fans.
It was troll bait but certainly not bullshit, Chomsky's record on Cambodia is despicable yet his mate Pilger doesn't see fit to mention it.

It can be fun to deflate a sanctimonious windbag, even if they delete the comment the point is made.
