Posting May Be Light.

Not because I'm busy or don't have access to a computer, but because there is literally nothing happening right now. I've just checked the BBC's news site and two of the top three domestic stories are that it rained in the Lake District but no one was hurt and there was a weak earthquake in the Midlands but no one was hurt.

It has been a relatively quiet weekend, in that the main stories have been ongoing and are still being fleshed-out; but I have a strong suspicion that the coming week is going to be quite interesting (as Stephen Fry would no doubt put it).

Beyond that, next week will see the US Presidential Election on the Tuesday, and Glenrothese here just two days later.

We are living in interesting times...

*Gasp* How can you be so blase about this. Don't you understand that it 'could have become a morgue'...?

Emphasis, you'll note, on 'could'.

They're clearly trying to lull us into a false sense of security! It's a conspiracy, maan!

Yes there is the little matter of the US election although seeing as the election lasts about 18 months it's hard to maintain the interest.

"Emphasis, you'll note, on 'could'."

'Could' is like that other favourite journalist's phrase "up to", in that it is very useful for making hysterical nonsense sound plausible.

"They're clearly trying to lull us into a false sense of security! "

I didn't need to be lulled.
