Lammyentable.

New Labour minister David Lammy recently appeared on Celebrity Mastermind, which is odd since he isn't a celebrity and demonstrated quite conclusively that he isn't a mastermind either.
But Lammy’s tour de force was his assertion that the monarch who succeeded Henry VIII was “Henry VII”. Lammy is Minister for Higher Education and Intellectual Property.
Yet he thinks that he is qualified to run our lives for us.

Good post title! :)

I was watching it, and predicted he'd go down in flames. I've been told he's one of the dimmest people in politics, and I wasn't at all surprised by his woeful performance.

In fact, I'm not often surprised by the utter shallowness of the general knowledge of a lot of MPs. This bunch really aren't the pick of the litter, are they..?

It's quite surprising that he agreed to go on it, and the party controllers agreed, if his stupidity was well known. Perhaps being stupid is seen as a populist step.

No, it's not populism that has got him where he is....

As Julia points out, the barrel really needs to be scraped with this lot.
