I've got an email from Ed Miliband, not to me personally but to Labour supporters in general.

Can anyone spot the problem here?

Someone, somehow has mistaken* me for a Labour supporter!!

That is pretty insulting.

* I assume that's what has happened although I might have given them my email address about 4 years ago during the General Election when they had a "Proud Of Britain" website which accepted contributions from the public and so practically demanded that piss takers register in order to post really ridiculous things we were proud of. If that's where they got my email then their web operation must be awful because it's the first communique I've received in 4 years!

But what does the email say?

They're all pretty usless. David Cameron regularly emails me. I've asked to be taken off the list numerous times but with no luck - I now just report them as spam.

I'm sure there are lots of people in a similar position, who signed up to Labour campaigns in the late 1990s and early 2000s and are now living with the consequences!

Mark- Something about signing "Ed's Pledge". The stand out sentence in the email is- "You may have friends who aren’t members of the Party".

Matthew- I seem to recall seeing the "Proud of Britain" website at your blog originally, so in a sense it's all your fault!

LfaT- We are all living with the consequences.

I've just received one from the Tories. Does that count?

James- If it sort of appeared from nowhere then yes, if you signed up with them then no.
