Mea Culpa

I suppose I should acknowledge that my confident assertion that the leaders' debate would have no major impact appears to have been very wrong.

Any explanations as to why the debate has provided such a big boost?

It was a competition to see who could evade the real issues while lying most convincingly, in which Nick Clegg won hands down, fair play to him.

Brown was a shambles. They offered the nation a choice between two snake-oil salesmen and a stammering, broken derelict.
That said, that's only a poll of the sort of people who answer polls. I still haven.t heard the debate mentioned among 'real people.'
