The Basildon Moment?

Labour hold Birmingham Edgebaston, which seems to indicate that they won't get an overall majority. It seems as symbolic as the Tories holding Basildon in the 1992 election.

Oh well.

At least Lembit Opik has lost his seat.

I thought Labour wouldn't get a majority well before that.

Yes, I get the point. Bizarre election, will the Exit Poll be right? Shame Zak Goldsmith - the absolute exampler of all Tories - won.

Shame about old Lembit - he added to the gaiety of nations.

Ah, they held that, eh? Hadn't checked. Yep, all up, not so great. Buckingham at 2:30 this afternoon apparently.

Matthew- the exit poll looks to be about right.

Laban- his contribution to the gaiety of nations will only be enhanced by this defeat.

James- Yes.
